Making an IMPACT

This past year, our donors provided more than $400,000 to support programs, scholarships and the purchasing of equipment.

The Early College Program provided 36 students with the opportunity to earn up to 30 credits at Montgomery County Community College at no cost to them. The graduating seniors earned 334 credits saving themselves $519,300 in future tuition. 127 students have participated in the The Early College Program, earning a combined 1686 college credits and saving over $1.652 million in future tuition.

“Donors to the Foundation for Pottstown Education have allowed me to accomplish amazing things. I had the incredible opportunity to be enrolled in college courses beginning my junior year of high school as a member of the Early College Program. I was able to take 27 college credits before I graduated which has allowed me to accelerate my college graduation. I was able to begin college as an accredited sophomore and immediately jump into more major-specific courses which made me stand out against my peers.  I can proudly say that I am now on track to graduate in the Spring of 2023, a whole year ahead of my peers.”

All six school libraries expanded their collections with 2,791 books highlighting diverse voices and perspectives. The acquisition of diverse literature is a crucial step towards creating inclusive learning spaces where all students feel valued and represented.

$19,200 to support field trips for all grade levels. Examples of the trips include the Philadelphia Zoo, the Constitution Center, Valley Forge Historical Park, the Pocono Environmental Center, and the Crayola Factory.

89 students received a combined total of $44,000 in scholarships. Four Vernier Dynamics Cart and Track systems were acquired for the Middle School, allowing students to apply their textbook and classroom physics knowledge to real-world concepts such as velocity, center of mass, acceleration, and friction.
