PEAK Coordinator, Mary Rieck, Receives Community Impact Award

Congratulations to Mary Rieck (pictured below far right), Coordinator for the PEAK Program in the Pottstown School District on her recognition as the Community Impact Award winner.  Mary was presented this award at the second annual TriCounty Community Network Women’s Symposium on March 29, 2017.

Pottstown is a nationwide leader in early childhood education. Our community is leading the way in early childhood education and kindergarten readiness thanks to one very dedicated believer, Mary Rieck. She serves as the Coordinator for PEAK, which stands for Pottstown Early Action for Kindergarten Readiness. Mary’s title does not adequately describe her national impact on early childhood education. Her leadership, quiet determination, and focus on the whole family as part of early childhood success, has catapulted our community to lead the way in educational standards. In addition to her work with PEAK, Mary leads a new initiative called Pottstown Trauma Informed Community Connection (PTICC), focusing on adverse childhood experiences and ways to mediate these experiences, particularly in the classroom. Healing and overcoming are the work of communities. PTICC and PEAK are providing lasting impacts on our community. Neither is possible without her commitment to our kids.

Thank you Mary for all that you do for the children and families of the Pottstown School District.Thank you Mary for all that you do for the children and families of the Pottstown School District.
