Lucky 13-The Early College Program Cohort VIII Completes Program

Thirteen Pottstown Senior High School Class of 2021 have completed the Early College Program in conjunction with the Montgomery County Community College.  These students were selected in their sophomore year at Pottstown High School based on their Grade Point Average, extracurricular activities, attendance and essay to enroll in the program which provided tuition for up to 30 credits during the two year program.  The Foundation also funds the textbooks for the classes.

This is the eighth cohort to complete the program.  The students in the Class of 2021 earned a combined total of 280 credits over the past two years.  Through the generosity of our donors, our Foundation was able to provide these students with more than $60,000 in tuition and textbook costs at MCCC.  The actual tuition of these 280 credits would have been $318,228 if they took the courses at the colleges that they have committed to attend this coming fall.
